MTN Nigeria has a discounted service plan that allows subscribers to call at lower rates for calls made to their close families and friends.

With MTN's family and friends, all a subscriber needs to do is migrate to the plan and then add the desired numbers of his close contacts.

If you are the kind of person that regularly makes calls to at least 10 close contacts, then this discounted call service is meant for you.

All you need to do is to first migrate to MTN family and friends by dialing *407#. You should afterwards just add up to 10 contacts you regularly make calls to. You will receive an acknowledgement via a text message welcoming you to the plan.

With family and friends, subscribers can add at least 8 MTN numbers and 2 other Non-MTN GSM numbers and at most 10 numbers.

What are the benefits of using MTN family and friends? Well, it allows one to call for as low as 17 kobo per second from the very first second the call is in play. Well, in a country where the average cost of making a GSM call is at about 30 kobo per second, 17 kobo per second is really much cheaper and will help people save their calling costs.

It appeared d faf call rate is on d high side jumping from 10k to 17k,whereas some network charged 18k to all network.pls do sth about it
