DSTV Mobile capable phones in Nigeria

DSTV is a popular Cable tv service in Nigeria, however, with improving technology and the capability of certain mobile devices, DSTV is no longer limited to just your normal tv or smart tv, nowadays, you can also watch dstv on your mobile phone. That second service is what we call dstv mobile.

Now, when it comes to dstv mobile, not all mobile phones are capable of acting as a suitable plaform for capturing the signals. DSTV mobile is normally served via micro tv signals and only those mobile phones that are dvb-h capable are the ones that can capture and unscramble the signals to display channels.

If you are interested in watching live DSTV channels on your mobile phone using the dstv mobile service, then you need to at least have a dvb-h capable mobile handset.

When DSTV mobile first came on stream on Nigeria, it was the ZTE phones that were first promoted but later however, Nokia phones became more in use, most especially the Nokia 5330 Mobile tv edition.

Once you have any of these phones, you will be able to watch over 10 dstv channels using your MTN or Glo sims as long as you have subscribed for the service.

All you basically need to do to start watching the dstv mobile on your phone is to first enable mobile internet settings on your phone, subscribe to the service and download your token.
