I recently bought a Power bank battery charger online and it was delivered within 24 hrs courtesy of Konga. I am satisfied with this product and I guess I'm one of those Nigerians who have been looking for an alternative way of recharging my phone battery should in case NEPA/PHCN disappoints us.

If you need to recharge your mobile phone or small device in case on an emergency and there is no power supply, you can do this off the grid by making use of this portable power bank by Vgold. It's an external battery charger that charges batteries of devices that have a micro-USB port. It has its own internal battery which is first of all recharged by plugging it into a USB port and stored for later use. It doesn't need to stay plugged into any power for it to charge your phone or tablet's battery.

Features:

Portability: It's really small sized and you can carry it along, even in your pocket

Connectivity: It can be connected to a USB port since it has a micro-USB to USB cable it can connect with for charging it's internal battery. The cable can then be switched to the other end for recharging mobile phone batteries.

How it works:
----------
1. Recharge it: One of the first thing you need to do when you get this device is to plug it into a USB port using it's cable while the smaller end goes into its own small port. A red light turns on while it's recharging and normally turns off when it is full. Once full, you can unplug it.

2. Store it: After recharging the power bank's internal battery, the next step is to simply store it in a safe cool dry place. Don't let it get in contact with liquid or heat so that it doesn't malfunction. Store it as you would store normal batteries. It is fully charged and can be used to recharge your mobile phone when you need to, even when there is no power supply from the power company.

3. Charge your device: When your mobile phone or small device needs to be recharged and there is no power from the grid, you can then bring out your power bank and connect the small micro-USB cable to the small port on your device while the USB plug goes into the USB port on your power bank. You'd see that your mobile phone or device is now getting recharged with the charge stored on your Power bank.

I've used mine for more than 5 times now and it's working well. If you intend to store your Power bank for a long time, you can decide to discharge it totally first.

The Power bank charger can be used to recharge batteries for iPhone3, iPhone4S, iPhone4, iPhone 5, iPod, iTouch, HTC, Blackberry, GPS and other smartphones that have a micro-USB port. It has a 2600mAh Capacity.

It can be connected to your laptop, DVD player, Car charger, Wall socket or any other power source that has a USB port.

I personally connect mine to my portable Solar charger via a long USB cable such that the Solar panel is on the outside while the battery bank is on the inside.

When it stops showing light, it means that is is either fully charged or fully discharged. If it not showing any light when you try to use it to charge your phone, it means that it needs to be recharged. Since it is a 2600mah power bank, it means it can charge a phone's battery about 2 times if the phone's battery is under 1300mah.
